About David Stead Gallery
Description
David Stead gallery opened in 2001. David studied fine art in Harrogate and later at Wimbledon School of Art, London.
“My studio is just above the gallery so to me they feel strongly interconnected. Often paintings come straight from the easel into the gallery effectively wet, making the space very much a living one. I tend to work with people and places I know well; constantly revisiting and exploring. Some themes such as ‘Ingleborough’ or the ‘Mathew’ series have occasioned fifty or even a hundred images”.

Fabulous gallery and paintings! Always worth a visit if your in Ripon
Tried to pop in to discuss a painting in the window 3 times. Closed each time despite it being during 'Google advertised' opening hours. Probably a 4 star rating at least I sense if you could actually get in but 'I'm out!
