Started down the track from lower Barden resevoir, up to upper Barden resevoir then around to Rylstone Cross. Then another 30mins up the trail to Cracoe War Memorial. Amazing 360 degree views on a clear day. Can be quite windy up here but there's several spots to avoid it depending on the direction. Looking south you can see Simon's seat, Beamsley Beacon and across to Ilkley Moore. North you can see great whernside, Grassington and the old lead mines, and much more!
Park in Rylstone and walk up to the cross (bit of a lung buster) and walk onto the war memorial. Stunning views from the top. As per usual the land owner doesn't allow dogs. Just keep your dog under control and you'll be fine.
Headed over to the war memorial after visiting Rylstone Cross. Great walk along the ridge. We continued on to Thorpe Fell Trig afterwards before dropping back down into Cracoe, then back to Rylstone.
Great ridge, great monument
Good views
