I have just returned from my 1st solo camping trip! Last minute decision booked the night before! I was very pleasantly surprised by the โpop upโ site! Once set up, Andrew came and introduced himself, great guy, he reiterated the information from the notice board, and had great knowledge of what was happening the local area, a lovely friendly welcome! He takes great care of the site, loos/shower he keeps them pristine The bucket shower works great just boil a kettle for some warm water! The site is quiet and tranquil, even on a weekend so if you want to stay up late chatting till the early hours this is not for you! But if you want explore the local area, and have a peaceful, relaxing stay where the only noise is the odd neigh from the horse up the road Iโd highly recommend See you again soon
Outstanding little site. Perfect location , nice and quiet, three portaloos and a small shower. Great cafe and farm shop across the road that does amazing breakfast. However the thing that stands out is the management of the site by Andrew which is exceptional. Very helpful, very friendly, ensures rules are complied with and always there to help. Highly recommend and look forward to returning .
Most of the campers have been very respectful of the fact that this campsite is in the middle of a residential area and is very close to several houses and it is marketed as friendly. However, not all campers respect this and we experienced very vile and misogynistic language last night after 11pm which we and our two children were kept awake with. I am sure it was not a pleasant experience for the fellow campers either. This campsite is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and very close to many houses. We live here for the same reason that people want to visit here: peace and natural beauty. Please help us to keep it this way for the benefit of fellow campers and residents. Such a pity.
Great little site with basic facilities! Stayed while doing the Way of the Roses Cycle. Andy very welcoming and knowledgeable on the local area. Great pub 5 minutes walk and if you like peace and quiet This is the place for you!! Jeff
Lovely spot for a pop up campsite with a short walk to the pub and cafe. Not sure about the cold water bucket shower though o๐คฆโโ๏ธor how the 2 portaloos would cope with a busy weekend. . Quite pricey given the facilities but a lovely spot and the portaloos very clean. ๐ด๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๏ธ
