The Croft Hotel

December 2025 We had our wedding here the other day and it was beautiful but here are the problems we experienced: • Food was served to the wrong guests, including to the bride and groom. • Our surname was spelled incorrectly on the place cards. • The bride’s canapés, which we were told would be kept aside, were thrown away. • The father of the bride was announced with the wrong name. • The bride repeatedly had to leave the room to find staff because there was no one consistently available to help. • The PowerPoint was played with “battery low” warnings showing, and wasn’t set to loop. • Our Mr & Mrs game wasn’t announced. • Guests weren’t told about our personalised word searches that we’d arranged. • Multiple guests raised concerns about the extremely high drink prices. • Throughout the planning process there was a clear disconnect between the wedding coordinator and the rest of the staff. We were repeatedly told different answers by different people, which caused stress and confusion that could’ve been avoided. Individually these things are small, but together they had an impact on our day and our overall experience. We’re sharing this not to be negative, but because we expected a higher level of organisation, communication, and professionalism for such an important event However, the reason the rating is high is because we had a great day and the venue is stunning. We would like to give a big thanks to Amy at the front desk of the Croft for all her help as without her assistance we would have been quite overwhelmed with the problems leading up to the wedding.

Victoria and I were married at The Croft Hotel on 2 October 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. The venue is absolutely beautiful — full of charm and character — and the staff went above and beyond to make everything seamless. From the ceremony to the reception, every detail was handled with care and professionalism. Our guests are still talking about the amazing food and warm atmosphere. We truly can’t recommend The Croft Hotel highly enough as a wedding venue — it was everything we dreamed of and more.

Can't fault this place at all. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful (I had a basic double and it looked amazing, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful too.). I mistakenly booked the wrong day and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was also incredible. Their extra £20 for food included deal made the food such great value and it was superb quality! My breakfast in the morning was easily the best hotel breakfast that I've had for a very long while. 10/10 if I'm back this way I will definitely stay here. Thanks guys!

We haven't stayed at the hotel, just had a meal at the restaurant. The service and the food was really good. The only thing that they should improve is that the menu doesn't contain drinks. We had a blackberry cordial and 2 elderflower cordial with lemonade. The later cost us more than £8 plus they changed us for the lime separately, while the earlier cost over £3. I cannot imagine how much would we have been changed if we would have drank some alcoholic drinks.

There for a wedding. Everything was beautiful. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Only down side was our room was on the front and from about 6am onwards it was like trying to sleep at the side of a motorway. We got up and left before 7 and never had breakfast
