Food pretty good BUT... decided to take slice of blueberry bakewell home. The pieces on the counter are around 8cm square (about 1cm deep), priced around £3.75. Thought it was a lot but OK, went ahead and ordered a piece to take home. On unwrapping at home found they had actually cut the slice in half... you should get what you see on the plate. Feel like I've been mugged so won't ever go back.

Up there with one of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had. Walked in, no greeting, no acknowledgement - looked at me like they'd been caught in the act doing something. Like they weren't expecting customers. No obvious menus (unless you're sat down) Treat you like your slow if you ask if they do something, when it isnt obvious what they do when you walk in. Coffee was mid, hot chocolate was mid. I wont go back, not because of the drinks - but because of the wonky atmosphere within. Very, very, odd...

Against my better judgement went in again for a hot drink on a cold day...had already been there before and was told they were not serving as they were cleaning...but today as I sat drinking my not so hot drink, two ladies came in, one holding a young child. They picked up a menu and were choosing somewhere to sit and asked for a high chair for the child only to be told by the young girl behind the counter " we don't have any, there is no room for them in here". REALLY, Café Verde?.....young children like to come in from the cold too. I felt really sorry for these two ladies and child that I had to write this review. This Café is in a great location and I would like to think that you would do Haworth proud and look after our visitors, even the little tots.

We tried this cafe last year and was ignored when we walked in after standing there for a few minutes, so walked out. Thought we would try again this year and it certainly hasn't improved! The young girls behind the counter didn't greet you and although they cleared the cups away from our table, they didn't come back to clean it! Instead of feeling valued as a customer, we felt as if we were a nuisance. The table next to us had ordered some food and whilst a couple of items arrived, they had forgotten one person's order. We wouldn't recommend this cafe and will certainly not going back again!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! The pink haired waitress was extremely rude and abrupt. She seemed annoyed to even seat us as soon as we walked in. Then later, proceeded to rudely march up to the table and accuse me of stealing a water bottle I paid for a few minutes ago. She was very aggressive and seemed like she was about to cause a fight. After the incident with the water bottle, she went back to loudly talk about it to her work colleagues behind the open counter and they all just stared at us and made us uncomfortable. The table was dirty and covered in food and plates. We asked twice for them to clear the table because after the first time they cleaned other people’s who came in afterwards. We were ignored for 10 minutes whilst waiting for someone to clean the table. The food was mediocre at best and not a great selection. It’s also quite dingy and cramped inside. There is a great place just across from it I would recommend to go there instead.
