This is a 13th Century Medieval church at the centre of a moorland Lockton village. Generally well maintained. Church of Saint Giles is a Grade II listed building. Very spooky feeling inside this church, you can feel the presence of spirits when your hair moving and goosebumps are covering you body.
Lovely old church with 13th century nave chancel and tub font. 17th century octagonal oak pulpit with floral carvings. The stunning window above the altar seems very appropriate, mirroring the sheep in the graveyard. Peaceful and simple. Right next to the Youth Hostel. Well worth a quick visit.
Lovely little village church, even wheelchair accessible.
