Tried the vada pav, fried momos, and chicken biryani at Biryani Darbar. The vada pav was absolutely spot on, flawless spice level, packed with flavour from the masala, and bonus points for the raw onions. It genuinely won my heart. The fried momos were decent, not mind-blowing, but good enough to satisfy the momo craving and remind you why you like them in the first place. The chicken biryani had nicely flavoured rice, though it felt like it could’ve used a bit more masala, and at one point it did feel slightly oily. That said, the raita completely stood out, the tempering with mustard seeds was a brilliant touch and honestly elevated the whole dish. It was unexpectedly overwhelming in a good way. Overall, a satisfying experience with some standout items and thoughtful details that make it worth revisiting.
Lovely food at good prices. Biryani was fantastic and cheap. Chilli chicken had good flavour and texture, balanced spice level too. Salt and pepper chips were a special highlight with a creamy texture, good flavour and were definitely worth the price.
We ordered Chicken Chowmein & Garlic Chilli Chicken. Seriously we hated the taste of Garlic Chilli Chicken, we literally felt like some tarinee did this recipe. Now coming to Chicken Chowmein, this is like 1.5 out of 5. No point of keeping that many items in your MENU. Because even though previous ORDER(idli & sambar, Vada) was not upto mark, but just felt like giving a try again because this is maij menu. Please stop show casing Indian cuisine & spoiling it's name. Hope you guys will CHANGE food making process more authentic even at night times aswell.
Absolutely loved my visit to Biryani Darbar in Sheffield! I had the Karak Chai with biscuits – it was made the authentic way, rich and full of flavour. A real desi experience. The aunty serving us was amazing and so accommodating, really made us feel welcome. Customer service was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommended!
Our first visit yesterday afternoon, food was absolutely amazing!! Very spicy but cooked to perfection!! Little gem of a place…brilliant service. Definitely be back x
