Darnall Fisheries

I’ve been meaning to call into Darnall Fisheries since being taken over, tonight it did not disappoint! Friendly staff, gorgeous food, probably the best local chippy around and great value for money . Had the mini fish and sausage special, good size portions, fish cooked to perfection and chips were amazing! If you’re looking for great Fish & Chips then try Darnall Fisheries , you won’t be disappointed, it may be a cliche but….I’ll be back!!

We ordered fish specials via delivery. I called when we placed order to ask for straps and this was added for free, no problem. The food traced within the half an hour time frame they provided. It was still hot and lovely food. The fish size was really good with the specials and you get a sausage too unlike most places. I would highly recommend and definitely would be ordering again 😊😊😊

I called in last week and was warmly welcomed in by the owners/staff. I ordered my food to take away, which was freshly cooked, battered sausage, chips and beans. The chips were lovely and cooked just right and to my taste. 3 of my staff members have called in today on m thoughts and all 3 said they really enjoyed their food. T

Nice food not burnt fish was lovely nice portion of chips all evenly cooked the fish is nice and tender I orded large cod & chips nice price to compared to others going on I had to go in shop as they don't do deliveries of there own have to use the food hub app or site and the food hub just has collection with an option only to pay by Google pay I don't deal with card or electronic payments CASH IS KING AND ALWAYS WILL BE UBER EATS ARE THE SAME THE DELIVERY IS MORE THAN THE FOOD COST ITS SELF I think this business will survive if they did have an home grown local delivery driver of there own the atmosphere was good they only had a few customers in nice not waiting for ages for food on collecting over the counter orders I think this will pick up though seen as it's new owners but don't forget seen as it was around 5pm to 6pm I went in was quiet darnall is always quiet from then on wards so no trouble sausages were good to the kebab was nice no burnt bits and only thing is they don't wrap the kebab for you they give you the meat and naan sepretly wrapped wasting paper and wrapping it as two sepret items id prefer them to make as it states kebab meaning meat on naan bread Thing is though they do 2 types of chips you have to state witch you want the big regular chunky ones you normally get with fish & chips or the thin ones you get from all other local takeaways the thin ones are called fries all in all still lovely nice work guys keep it up and I'll be with you for as long as you stay open Mushy peas 5⭐ Curry sauce 5⭐ Gravy sauce 5⭐ Chips 5⭐ Fries 5⭐ Sausage 5⭐ Mixed kebab with naan salad 5⭐ Fish & chips 5⭐ All was as is 5⭐ takeaway from service to food from when you go in to when you go out left with a smile on my face thanks guys

I had stopped going here a few years ago because I didn't like the smell coming from there because of the oil used! 🤢 Now it's under new management & the fish & chips was so tasty, along with the peas & curry sauce (standard, don't judge me! 😂), that I've been again since the 1st visit! I'm just waiting for opening time for my next fix! 🐟🍟😋🤭
