Absolutely shocking company , received a fine for parking which they have no proof of sending out other than my address on the letter . The parking fine notice conveniently never turned up at my address , then refer it to a collections agency for £170 . Shocking didn’t even have the option of paying the actual fine . Finding it very suspicious that 2 letters they have apparently sent out and both have never been delivered ?? What a way of conning people out of money !

I’m writing this so other people don’t go through what I did. In November 2025, I received 4 parking tickets worth £40 each while using PureGym St. Mark’s, Lincoln, despite the fact that I am 100% certain I entered my correct registration number into the gym system on every visit fr the 2 hours members parking. PS the tickets came laters came days after my trips to the gym When the parking company (Excel Parking) claimed they couldn’t find my registration number, I appealed. They rejected my appeal immediately and told me I was only allowed to appeal once. Even after sending multiple emails explaining the situation, they refused to review it again. I also called them, and the representative I spoke to was rude and dismissive, and told me there was nothing they could do and they would end the call. PureGym didn’t help either. They told me they had no record of my vehicle registration for that period, even though they could confirm that I was at the gym on those dates. In the end, I had to pay £160 in parking charges in just one month, even though I followed the instructions and entered my registration number correctly. My advice: Do not use Excel parking, neither the gym nor the parking company will support you

I am absolutely disgusted with Excel Parking Services Limited and their sleazy, underhanded tactics that seem designed purely to extort money from innocent drivers. This company is a complete joke, I received a letter for a £60 fine which I followed and paid online I then received a notification of confirmation from my bank and the website returned to the main page taking a screenshot from my bank just in case (glad I did). I then heard nothing from them as to my knowledge it was paid and done until receiving a letter from debt collection company for a unpaid fine of £170 with no way to appeal other than going to court and if it was not paid I would receive a CCJ. The money had been taken out of my account and paid from my side , however their payment system did not process or complete this transaction in the correct time period the bank allocates. By law this is the merchants (their ) fault as I the payee have honoured my side of the contract to make payment with the correct details and to the correct account on the correct time however as their system didn’t process it properly I’m expected to pay under 3X the amount for their system failing to take the payment and there is no way to appeal or dispute this matter without going to court, RIDICULOUS, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Much easier just to pay these scamming car park operators rather than even both with an appeal. Absolute joke even if you have a valid reason they will decline the appeal. Poor in confusing signage on the car parks and payment apps. Bryan house Wigan is 24/7 car park on one sign but the app doesn’t let you buy a ticket and one sign says payment for tickets starts from 6am. However you still get a ticket if you don’t buy one out of those hours. Absolute joke, avoid any excel car parks

Never heard of a more disgusting company in my life. Fined me for parking longer than 90 minutes. Despite the fact that their own terms state 4 hours for gym members who input their registration (correctly). Which I am, and I did. Appealed. Rejected, and then denied knowledge of the existence of their own four-hour term. Which is still there. Denied it again in court. Have cost me an estimated £2000+. Trading standards, BBC watchdog, and my MP made aware. Flagrantly abusive company. Google news search absolutely inundated with reports of their misdoings. Boss Simon Renshaw-Smith and his wife Karen Gillott just given themselves gigantic pay rises.
