This place made an absolute mess of a rear panel replacement and repairs to some rust in the boot which I paid £1760. The welding wasn't seam welded, just spotted and covered with tar sheet, and the gap between the rear bumper side and joining bodywork was all over the place, uneven gap. The panel has been joggled not seam welded and the side skirt appears to have been forced off, which has broken fixings and caused me to buy another. They screwed it back with long rusty bolts which were wrong kind, and stuck on the end with gobbo because they broke the clip which had a hidden bolt. The car was taken back after the first attempt but came back still unsatisfactory. They tried to manipulate the bumper and have left screwdriver marks and other damage. Lots of unnecessary filler used. Also tyre got punctured, and being all wheel drive I had to replace all tyres as they would only pay for that one. When I picked the car up the first time the repair side was up against a screen so I didn't notice how bad the repair actually was until I got home, and after having a good look around things just started showing up. Also bear in mind they are not accredited and not associated with the motor ombudsman or any certified good garage schemes or similar, so if anyone has a problem with a job they can just ignore you like they ignore me now. The only thing I can do is take them to small claims court at my initial expense as there are no longer any no win no fee solicitors fir consumer issues. AVOID.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but after what I discovered today, I feel obligated to share my experience. My car was sent to this body shop by my insurance provider — I didn’t choose it myself. After waiting four months for my turn, they finally replaced and painted both doors. Upon collecting the car, I immediately noticed two paint chips on the brand-new doors — one down to bare metal, another to primer. It was obvious they had occurred during installation. In addition, the edge of one door was completely unpainted, with white primer clearly visible along the entire seam. I had to leave the car for rework. A week later, I came to collect it again. This time, the front door was misaligned with the rear door, leaving a visible step between the panels. I was tired of the delays (the process had already taken six months), so I decided to fix the alignment myself rather than start another round of repairs. The next day I noticed they had forgotten to reinstall the roof antenna, which had been unscrewed for the paint job. It was just left loose in the boot. Now, one year later, I went in for an MOT and discovered that the locking wheel nut key was missing from the service kit. Since the car was brand new and this garage is the only place where any disassembly had taken place (they removed a wheel to fit a new wing), it’s obvious the key was lost during that visit. As a result, I now had to pay £140 to remove the wheel locks and order replacements — just to complete a basic MOT. The colour match was excellent, and the staff were polite and helpful. But unfortunately, all of that was completely undermined by the sloppiness, lack of organisation, and total absence of attention to detail throughout the process.
Top tier. Friendly staff, more than reasonable pricing. They took what was a painful and nasty scuff for a new car and made it look brand new again. Would highly recommend and will definitely return for any work if needs be
Just had my Toyota Landcuiser chassis and bodywork refurbished absolutely fantastic job l would recommend this company 100%. and I’m very picky and very reasonable price thank you
Great friendly team here, amazing skills and talent for paintwork and restoration. Been a customer since my first car about 11yrs ago, followed them from their previous premises in Walkley and will continue to reccomend them.
