Stayed here as I was attending Simply Red at the Arena. The landlady Joanne upgraded me from a room without ensuite to a room with ensuite, which was a lovely surprise. Joanne and Blake were very friendly and welcoming. It seems like quite the party place after 11pm but they were playing Simply Red so that was OK 😁. The room needed a bit of a spring clean but was warm and cosy and had everything I needed. Free unlimited Wifi was available. Very convenient for the Arena. A car parking permit is provided for a car park across the street.

Called in to the noose after seeing a film at the cinema, decided to have a change from our usual Saturday night bars. We felt welcomed the landlord was friendly and we didn't feel there was a click in the place, the bar staff were equally as friendly. We will definitely be making this a regular thing on Saturday nights the music wasn't too loud and there was a good mixture of tunes playing, drinks were good, with a good selection on draught beers lagers and ciders and reasonably priced

Cracking boozer, wished I was staying in one of the rooms. When I google’map’d ‘boozers near me open now’ this little gem didn’t pop up. Was going for a walk to one of these soulless American style food restos, you know those places with all the same chain restaurants built around a car park. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this little beauty. I popped in. It’s a proper boozer. Good prices on the pints, amongst the cheapest neck oil I’ve found in the UK. If you want to eat then you need to be a hotel resident or order the day before. Best thing is that the owner is here, behind the bar, serving up the pints and chatting away. A real family run place, makes a nice change from all this corporate chain bollocks. Beer garden as well.
