We booked this community centre for a small family event. Facilities inside the hall are good, with a decent sized kitchen, disabled toilets, additional toilets and a small inside room. There is parking outside too. However, the hall looks a little tired now and in need of some TLC. The stage area is not of use. Taking that out would create more space. The wall fitted fabric seats are comfortable to sit on, however, again, the seats need tending to, as some seats are torn and have been taped down. Also, there are no commercial rubbish bins outside for hirers to use, which means all rubbish has to be brought back home. Booking process is straightforward, and is reasonably priced, but bear in mind, the management will charge an hourly rate for setting up the tables and chairs outside of your chosen time slot. We felt, customers should not be charged for the half an hour, setting up the hall.

Pretty bad experience with the people managing this centre. Hired the center for a family party for everyone to enjoy and the guy in charge just ruined the mood at the end of it. Our booking was till 4pm he was thier by 3.30 looking at the place and coming to me every 2 mins this telling me this needs to be done or thats not been done felt like having a right go at him but held my cool as all my family was thier trying to enjoy the day. Next time if someone books it till 4 come in at 4 and look at your property not at 3 30 shambolic behavior management needs to change the person in charge of renting the place out. Until this guy is in charge of ooenung up and closung up my family won't use this place again am a local lad been living on Healey lane since 2000, we hire this place atleast once a year when since 2014 when it's been available to do so

Pretty bad experience with the people managing this outdated centre, had a birthday party and we were treated to a person who was more interested in the deposit then showing us around this ancient centre, sofas covered with gaffer tape, dirty kitchen and hardly clean main hall, anyway we got on with the party the best we could but then the supposed manager or assistant at the end pulled out a checklist at the end which wasnt even discussed on the phone or at the venue, petty arguments over the way the chairs and table were stacked meant we wasted time in the end getting the deposit back,i would save your time and money and choose something a bit more clean and with better people managing it
