Had an amazing meal here on Saturday. The waiter, Saqib, was an absolute star. He was warm and friendly and very attentive. The owner, Hamza, came to speak to us and was also great and very chatty. Now for the food, it was amazing, big portions too. The rice had a butter soft lamb shank hiding in it. The chicken tikka karahi off the bone was to die for. All in all it was a great night. Would definitely recommend. The mango Lassi was so good and the Chai tea was perfect. Sahib also told us that the Chapli kebabs are a speciality and are really good. We will be back to try them very, very soon. My Khyber was definitely worth every penny.
An outstanding performance from My Khyber! The hospitality was second to none! As for the food…… on another level! Everything cooked perfectly and bursting with flavour! The Chapli kebab was seriously the best I’ve ever had. What a wonderful experience.
We go here quite regularly as a family. Fantastic food. Authentic taste. Charsi Tikka Seekh to die for. The Lahori fish also delicious. Our favourite curry is the Lamb Shinwari curry. Just a word of caution It is very very busy on weekends so best to go on weekdays Lovely atmosphere. The owner is a wonderful man - Hamza easy to talk to and genuinely enthusiastic for what he’s doing. It’s a real Gem. Will keep going. Food is always top notch.
A real competitor for the other famous Chapli Kebeb restaurant down the road. Honestly I felt the kebabs were an actually a slightly tastier than My Peshawar. The platter for 2 was decent but nothing special. However the Kabuli rice was very bland. No taste. The Family Naan was nice and fluffy. Food took ages to come. Even though restaurant is new, if felt very tired and dated, especially the flooring, with cracked tiles and dirty grout. It doesn’t give a cozy and clean vibe inside. Interior was below average. Service is good but bit slow. Plenty of options so will be back to try other items. Food is ok priced, bit expensive especially the drinks, are a total rip off.
Had a great experience at My Afghan, we tried the lamb charsi karhai, mix grill platter, chapli kebabs and malai chapli kebabas. Everything was served hot & tasted delicious. The karhai was my personal favorite, the lamb chops were a bit chewy. We were served by Saqib who took great care of us & made sure everything was perfect. Definitely coming back again!
