Brown & Brown (Previously Safe and Sound Insurance)

Can I say a huge thank you to the staff at Brown and Brown? They don’t offer face to face car insurance, however, in the face of my tears/meltdown, their friendly and helpful staff got me sorted by providing basic facts and reassurance and then contacted a firm who did! A huge thank you and I am now sorted!

As an insurance broker they are good, and helpful in sorting out problems with the insurance companies on your behalf. Staff are friendly and worked miracles to get a discrepancy sorted in an hour when the insurance company insisted it would take a few days. My only concern is they don't necessarily deal with well known insurers, which can make it expensive for cover

I rang up for a quotation, over the period of 12 days I’ve rang back 4 times and there seems to be no answer. Every time all they say is you have plenty of time as there’s 13 days remaining for your renewal. I’m sorry but 13 days is nothing when your shopping around for the best quotation. Anyways to cut a long story short, come the day of renewal I ring safe and sound again and ask them their best rate, the LADY says we can’t beat your renewal, not even knowing what my renewal is. Her manner over the phone was very rude and when asked on the quotation, she deliberately doubled the figure and cut the phone off. Never will I approach safe and sound again. If I could, I’d rate them 0*, very bad manners over the phone to treat a paying customer.

Been with safe and sound for over 15 years and still going strong. Very nice staff who treat you like family and will go above and beyond to make sure everything is right! Thank you Terry, Scott and Stuart
