SWIM! Batley

Sonya is an amazing instructor. My daughter has learnt in one lesson so much what she didn’t learn the last 6 weeks! Safe entry, safe exit, monkey bars, jumping into water, floating on back. Actually engaged my child into how to swim. Finally Felt like a proper swim lesson not just a splash and float around! Thank you Sonya😄 very good place to learn to swim if you have the right instructor.

Very good members-only Swimming Centre, there is plenty of free parking onside and good facilities inside such as lockers(you will need to bring your own padlock), a pram storage unit, soft mats inside the changing room, private changing units, showers, hairdryers and toilets. The staff are friendly and helpful and the new centre is kept clean and tidy. The Swimming Teachers are amazing and really do engage with everyone. My Baby really enjoys the fun classes and gets excited when she sees the pool. The pool room and water is heated and you can also bring along a plus one to sit and watch through the next room.

First level, ok. Second level, never the same teacher, we kept going but after 8 weeks of different teachers with absolutely no progress, we attempted to cancel. Be warned if your lesson is on a Sunday and your child is unwell you can't get a catch up as the week ends on a Sunday. Teaching staff are so unhappy, I saw at least 3 in tears during our 10 months. No customer service. The facilities are also tired stinky changing rooms nappy bin full and broken for weeks, and they never fixed the coffee machine in 12 months, but the staff would come along with a key and help themselves. We would not recommend. We've opted for another swim school and so far progress is brilliant, and it's half the price. I guess you expect more in the name of Rebecca Adlington, so disappointing, the business needs some better staff, care, and focus.

My 3 children joined here 11 weeks ago, and WOW!! It's been absolutely amazing. The kids have progressed so much and it's all down to the fantastic staff members/teachers. Ben is the swim coach for my kids (swim 1's & 3) and he really makes the classes fun and really pushes them to get the best out of them. I can't thank and praise Ben and the other staff members enough for all their work and company as a whole. The cleanliness is unmatched. Great amount of showers, changing rooms, and the parent waiting area is the best. We get to see our children right in front of us in their session. I recommend SWIM Batley to all my family and friends therefore anyone who sees this, I would recommend this place for your children too. Outstanding place 👏🏽

We have used Swim since our 19 month old was 10 weeks, first in Wakefield and now the purpose built Centre in Batley. Our instructor Jo is fantastic engaging with parents and children alike. If your child is having a bad day no issues - she encourages and ensure the children learn and are having fun. Each week there are different themes from space to pirates or Having A Party which help keep each week fresh and different to the last. If you want you child to get a love of water and learn to be safe in water and learn to swim this is the place to go. A Progressive teaching program with engaging specialist teachers.
