Well, what to say about a cemetery? No idea. Glad I'm above ground ;-) A lot of old graves here. There's an entrance at the front and a turnstile at the back. I walked through here on my way to my vaccination against covid today so it was nice that it was sunny and there was a V in the sky ;-)
THE “HYDE-PARK CEMETERY” IS THE ONLY CEMETERY I FEEL CALM AND RELAXED IN. I JUST WISH THE DONCASTER COUNCIL WOULD RESTORE IT BACK TO ITS FORMAL GLORY AS ITS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO GO TO.
A lot of old dignitary’s are laid to rest here. Some very old history linked to the place. David Bowie’s grandmothers grave is here too. Watch out for friends of Hyde park cemetery on Facebook for all the info on Walks and history talks.
Great for being buried in. very good for town, in fact it's the dead centre of Doncaster.
The church has nearly been completed and are nearly ready to be rented out
