Credit to DMBC and users of the park, obviously plenty spent on keeping it manicured and clean. One or two areas could do with further investment but funds are limited? Plenty of people walking their dogs and children using the play areas. Grandson loved the aviary but unfortunately protecting the birds rather hampers the visibility. Not sure if crazy golf ever opens and sadly long gone is the pitch and putt πŸ€” All in all a very pleasant local amenity- congratulations Doncaster

Park with open space. Playground for young children, skate rams, BMX track and basketball nets. The "Dell" with its flower beds, trees and plants it's very nice for a small walk. Plenty of Bench's to take a seat at there is also a small aviary. There is a small cafe on the grounds too. Excellent access to the river for walks along the river Don

Absolutely adore Hexthorpe Park (the Dell) have been going there since I was 3 years old if not right from being born with my mum. Yes of course it's changed but where hasn't and tbh in the last 36 year's I haven't noticed that much of a difference. There is still the exact same slide that I used to play on as a child. All the walking routes are the same and I'm pleased to say that even the minagery has bird's πŸ¦œπŸ•ŠοΈ in it. Been there for a walk everyday for the last few days and have found a different route to walk every day. Love πŸ’• it...

OK so Hexthorpe is not the best area in Doncaster but blimey I was really surprised by Hexthorpe Park, it's beautiful, spotlessly clean, very well maintained and colourful, the birds in the aviary (cockatiels and budgies) are obviously very well looked after. I know there's a group of volunteers working alongside the council maintaining the park, so well done to all concerned. I now walk through the park quite often because it also boasts access to the Transpennine Trail at the side of the rowing club in the park.
