Up from the south for the weekend, great to find this gem, thet still brew bitter up here. Very tasty.
Really nice traditional pub, good beer and very friendly helpful staff. Will definitely make it my first port of call when I'm in Doncaster next. Very short from the train station is also a bonus.
3 guest beers on tap and 1 bottle. £2.20 a half pint. Friendly service. There's free wifi. Cash only
Easy to see why this is a Good Beer Guide CAMRA 2023 pub. Proper town centre two room pub with an older cliental opposite the station. Madge went for Acorn Barnsley bitter as the very short lived British August Summer ended in a downburst. Really love the traditional back lounge. Madge took a pint of Acorn Barnsley bittet. Lovely. Nice place to start or finish a Doncaster pub crawl.
A gem of a traditional pub. It's like walking back into the 1960's. Excellent beers, cask and keg and larger, warm and friendly atmosphere. Just across the road from the railway station. Priceless.
