Eaten here a fair amount over the last 10-15 years, the food is always consistently good. Prefer lasagne and chips but didnt have enough lasagne today as it was close to closing, was reluctant but I got the shepherds pie instead which I wasnt disappointed with, everythings always well packed. Staff are always nice and the food is always out quick, even if they're busy. Was offered a free drink when waiting for the take out food since they didnt have what I wanted. Would be here more often if there was a loyalty card or slightly lower prices on takeaway.
We have been using the Frenchgate cafe for more than 11 years now and it is our go to restaurant in Doncaster the staff are friendly and always accomodate to our needs our children have grown up around the place The staff are like family and the food is always amazing! Thank you guys and gals!!
Went for a quick bite to eat. My order came out wrong not once but twice, the 3rd time it was right there was a hair in my lasagna and the white sause was like rubber I was able to peel it off like plastic, it was also bland and tasteless, ate two bites and left it as it was that bad, we will not be returning
When i first passed by this cafe I, wasn't sure about it. It took me a year to get around to trying it. I am so glad I did! For me it ticks all the boxes: A large English menu Good portions Hot Quick service Reasonable prices It's not the fanciest place but I can deal with that Lovely staff that work really hard. I have now been 3 times - I am working my way through the menu 🤣
Photos don’t do justice I already tucked in 😋 my favourite cafe, from the friendly team who go above and beyond for you, to the big menu that has something for everyone to of course the gorgeous food itself. The vanilla slices are the best Iv ever had! I’m sure the chocolate concrete is just as good. Been my go to cafe since I was in college and 11 years later I still go ❤️
