Colosseo Restaurant on Carr House Road in Doncaster is a cosy spot for authentic Italian food. The menu’s got all the classics—pizza, pasta, seafood—you name it. People rave about dishes like the fillet steak, mushroom risotto, and lasagna, which all hit the spot if you’re in the mood for hearty Italian flavours. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with modern decor that makes it feel a bit more special than your average restaurant. The staff are usually super friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. That said, things can slow down when it gets busy, so maybe aim for a quieter time if you’re not into waiting. Overall, it's worth a visit.

"An Authentic Italian Gem in Doncaster!" Colosseo Italian Restaurant exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an incredible dining experience. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest feels special. The food was simply outstanding – fresh, authentic, and bursting with flavour. The pasta dishes were cooked to perfection, and the pizza had a deliciously crisp base with generous, high-quality toppings. Don’t miss their tiramisu – the perfect end to a fantastic meal! Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just fancy a night out with exceptional Italian cuisine, Colosseo is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Stumbled across this restaurant by chance on Google as we were in the area for a family day out. It was a busy Saturday evening, and we were able to get a table without a booking, although it was super busy. We ordered: Homemade garlic bread 5.95 Calamari fritti 7.95 Funghi trifolati 7.50 Linguine allo scoglio 15.95 Salmone in salsa astice 24.95 Tagliatte carbonara 12.95 The staff were super attentive, took our drinks orders right away, and it came really quickly. The restaurant was full of large tables for birthday parties, and their service from ordering the food to taking our empty plates away were pretty impressive. Nice friendly staff who were chatty (shout out to the cool guy Niaz 🤩). Always checking if we were OK etc. All in all, great food, great atmosphere, and great experience. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the area and fancy a good Italian fix!

Mama Mia 💞 A fantastic meal for 5! Very nice setting and staff were really friendly. We booked a table online for 17:30 on a Friday and it was fairly quiet when we walked in. It was picking up a bit as we left around 19:30. We had starters, half portion mains for the kids, and deserts (The chocolate 🍫 brownie was yummy 😋 and the raspberry Pavlova was sweet, refreshing and epic!) A couple of large glasses of white wine 🥂 J2Os, cappuccino ☕ and we spent circa £150. The service was a little slow between starter and main, but the food made up for it. I had the Fillet steak Diane, cooked medium. It was nice and melted in my mouth, cooked perfectly I might add. £30 was a bit steep for the 8oz and chips. I had to order a portion of seasonal veg on top. There are other items on the menu that are better value. Mrs S had a lasagne and it looked great, and a decent portion, she couldn't finish it. The eldest had an adult spaghetti 🍝 Bolognese - said it tasted Herby 🤣 that'll be the Oregano, I had a bite and it tasted lovely 😍 Access ♿ is good from the car park. A couple of disabled bays in the car park also. Good access to the table and toilets. Toilets 🚻 were nice and clean. We look forward to coming back in the near future 🙂 thanks for hosting us 🤩☕❤️ If you found this review helpful please give it a like ✅🙏👍🤩🍦

Food really good although confused why a large percentage of the menu came with chips, Duck in orange sauce with chips 🤔 is a tad strange. That aside the duck was perfectly cooked and practically melted in your mouth. Chicken very tender and moist, beautiful! Service was attentive but food slow to come out, was worth the wait!
