Utterly delicious Indian food with a few welcome twists from the norm. Tasty, good quality, vibrant and plentiful. Always served piping hot and with great service. Businesses like these deserve to succeed. Give them a try as they’re worthy of your support.

Fantastic food, great choice for veggies and lovely staff. Highly recommended! Spicy Madras, Beckett Road, Doncaster. We visited Spicy Madras for the first time tonight with my Dad and husband and we were extremely impressed. The food was really delicious and the menu is fantastic, very different with lots of new things to try. They have a South Indian and Sri Lankan menu and was very similar to food I’ve eaten in India. As a vegetarian I was overwhelmed by choice. Don’t worry, there are still a few old favourites like Madras and Jalfrazi, but why not try something new alongside them? We had the veggie starter platter which was really big and more than enough for three. The paneer cheese and vegetable rolls were my favourite but it was a great opportunity to try some more other starters, which were equally nice. For mains we shared a Masala dosa- this is a giant, crispy pancake filled with spicy mash that comes with a few tasty sauces, a paneer chilli, and a paneer butter masala, two rice and onion naan. All were excellent. It came to £63 including two soft drinks and a bottle of wine. Great value between 3. We had enough leftovers for 1 person to take away too. The staff were lovely, very friendly and happy to explain the menu. They are obviously very proud of their food too. Everything is made from scratch, so don’t go if you are in too much of a rush. The place is quite small, it was very quiet tonight but might be worth booking on a weekend.

An absolutely super meal served with 1st class service. The staff helped me choose from their menu. I had a Chettinadu mutton curry (10/10), plain rice and garlic nan (10/10). The people were so friendly and helpful. I will be back for more..

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Kebab and while the chicken was very tasty, it was unfortunately far too salty, which made it hard to enjoy. The Chicken Korma had a lovely, authentic flavour and you could tell it was made with real spices and care. However, there was very little chicken in it, just a few small pieces, and it ended up feeling more like a bowl of sauce than a full meal. Overall, the flavours were great, but a bit more balance with the seasoning and a more generous portion of chicken would have made a big difference.
