A stunning little place in the heart of Doncaster. The food is of an exceptional quality, you can tell loving care has been put into both its presentation and preparation. The quality of the ingredients is high. The service in atmosphere this fabulous. I've eaten in some exceptional restaurants across the UK and the world, it's heartwarming to know we have the level of quality and passion for food in Doncaster. I was highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We came to city restaurant for my birthday and we all had a great time. The service was excellent, the waiter made us feel really welcome and went out of his way to make my birthday special. As for the food we all had different dishes and all throughly enjoyed them. The beef goulash which I had was the best I have ever tasted and my wife's fillet steak was better than most steak restaurants. My parents who are vegetarian were spoilt for choice and had the aubergine stew and vegetable pancakes which they thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be visiting again soon, a real gem in doncaster.
What a find! Visited with friends who have been before and I was really impressed. The food was lovely and the drink selection really varied. I particularly loved the smalec served with bread as a starter. Definitely recommend the place for something different, but delicious. We were a party of 20+ who dined in the early evening in mid August 25. I had emailed with Mark, the manager, regarding the menu choices in advance The meal was absolutely lovely. He and his staff were lovely. We had 4 young children, it was a family event and they were beautifully catered for. Amazing value for money for what we had. Definitely recommend and would go again as would others in the group
