Came in today at 11:50 and straight away felt an unwelcoming atmosphere. Most of the staff looked mardy or stressed. I asked if they were open, and the lady mentioned something about Christmas dinners and said you can only have sandwiches or takeaway. A chap called Gilbert wanted a toasty, but one of the ladies said, “We can’t, I’ve put my toaster away now,” even though the toaster was literally on the shelf above the plug. The staff just didn’t seem helpful or welcoming. On the positive side, the bacon sandwich was lovely. Another customer came in just after me and asked if he could pay by card. The lady replied quite loudly and abruptly, “It needs to be over a fiver — do you want some biscuits to round it up?” It would have been better said in a more polite way. There’s great potential here — good food and good reviews — so hopefully today was just one of those off days. . Two coffees bacon sandwich and a cheese ham salad sandwich was £17.50 don't mind paying that as it was nice but just be happy you lot. I'll honest only if you couple were mardy.... But it's enough to change the atmosphere

Lovely cafe, it's small inside but there's lots of seating out and some of it is sheltered. Clean and tidy and you can see them making the food so you know it's done proper. It's busy for breakfast so I recommend coming early!

Paid £8.30 for a salad to takeaway, after hearing the price I thought this salad could be pretty special. Anyway after receiving something I’d feed my guinea pig with, the third of a 99p crunchy salad from Asda a boiled egg and the most dry chicken I’ve ever tasted, I feel like calling the police for daylight robbery. I understand inflation and price costs but £8.30 for that is scandalous, safe to say I’d not use it again.
