I have to give a 5 star review to Gemma from the Doncaster branch of Thrifty. Despite it inconveniencing her (probably a lot more than she let on), we got a hire car to drive away within 10 minutes of entering the building. Really pleasant customer service and clear instructions. Thank you! We were having quite a bad day, but you helped to ease it somewhat and restored our faith in people and good old Christmas spirit.
Have used Thrifty at Doncaster 3 times so far. Excellent cars and friendly helpful staff. The guy that’s handed the cars to me has been very helpful explaining how things work. Gemma is always lovely. I’ll be back soon!
After last minute personal car issues a day before we were due to go away we needed a rental. Thrifty in Doncaster (especially Saffron and her colleague who showed us around the car and accepted it on return - sorry can't remember his name) saved our holiday as other brands of car rental 1) didn't have a vehicle available despite booking and 2) would only accept credit cards. We got to drive away in a lovely new Ford puma, quite saddened we had to return it! Good value on rental rates, spotless inside and outside. We will definitely use again if in need!
I can’t thank Thrifty Car & Van Rental enough, especially Gemma the manager. From start to finish she went above and beyond to get me the right vehicle, made everything simple, and was always friendly and professional. The car was spotless, drove beautifully, and the whole process was stress-free. I’ll definitely be coming back brilliant service and great cars!
I couldn’t recommend this company more, after being let down last minute by another hire company in the area we called thrifty, even tho it was close to closing hours saffron said that they would stay open until we could come pick up a van as we were in need of a van that night, she was really helpful and understanding of our situation. From now on I’ll be using thrifty and not any of these other companies. Thank you to saffron and the team who stayed to help us in our time of need.
