A straight straight forward house sale.transaction completed in a timely manner but communication was awful. I had to constantly chase for updates as emails/ phone calls were never returned. Had to escalate to a senior partner to get the updates I needed. I would not recommend.

We have just completed on the purchase of our new home, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received. From start to finish, Lisa and Haleemah were incredibly helpful, professional, and supportive throughout the entire process. They always replied promptly to any questions we had, no matter how small, and took the time to explain everything clearly to me and my partner as first time buyers. They were not only efficient and thorough but also genuinely kind and approachable, which made a real difference. We felt in very safe hands from the beginning to the end of the process. We would highly recommend them to anyone buying or selling a home. Thank you again for making our house purchase as smooth and stress-free as possible!

We weren't clients of Grainger Appleyard, but we were clients by proxy and we really wish we weren't. They dragged out the whole process for 6 months for absolutely no reason. They didn't communicate with their clients (the house we were buying) and outright refused to speak to us, even just an "almost there" was too much to ask, so we were left completely in the dark whilst paying a ridiculous rate on the mortgage of our old house. This affected my mental health in ways I didn't think were possible, crippled us financially, and completely ruined the fun of buying our dream home. We wouldn't recommend Grainger Appleyard at all. They were recommended to our sellers by the estate agent, so there was a lot of bias and lies around crucial aspects of the biggest purchase of our lives.

I would never recommend this solicitors. Their services were complete rubbish. It took six months to complete on my property. But the service from all their staff was poor at best.

Very slow in feeding back to buyer. Extensive waits for Graingers to both request and respond to sellers queries. Excuses such as solicitor on leave, solicitor needing supervision. Sellers solicitor had to send information twice and request acknowledgement of receipt which was never given. Thank goodness the estate agent property hive kept requesting updates. Took over 3 months to advise buyer not to purchase leasehold property due to low lease. Advise may have been correct but delays in providing that advise unacceptable. Advice not received until 31.07.2024 The status of lease known from when buyer made offer an offer in April 2024 which reduced the flat price by 50% to take this into account. Time wasted for both seller and buyer. Avoid this solicitor if buying or selling leasehold property, especially if in chain.
