I hired Sutherland & Co Law in January 2023 for a very simple Deed Transfer form. I was assigned a solicitor. I expected this to be done by February or March while I was still in the country, which was perhaps unreasonable of me, but there was no money being transferred, it was literally just a case of signing the paperwork to a family member. Over the next SEVEN MONTHS my case was passed from the solicitor to a trainee, then back to the solicitor, then to the trainee again who forgot that she was on the case originally and asked me to complete payment that I had made months prior. Reading back through my emails, they did apologise for this but the mistake suggests a total failure of internal communication or bookkeeping. I also lost count of the “out of office” emails I received whenever I tried to check in for an update. Quite possibly the most unprofessional time I've had with a solicitor. Just my two cents based on my personal experience with them!
