This is the waterdale. I remember years ago, so many shops. Redevelopment never happened, other than a fantastic Gregg's (the staff there do a good job) there is very little else left. Needs to be a plan of action for here in 2021
Has potential to be a vibrant, beautiful spot but the shops are mostly boarded up, hardly anyone goes this way out and the area is full of less-than-reputable members of society BUT money has been spent here and it looks a lot more pleasant, just needs the retail to grow and attract shoppers
In waterstone's having the best costa coffee ever just the perfect place for a pit stop

The picture featured here is incorrect. This is of Baxter gate. Waterdale shopping centre is on the south side of Doncaster and has been run down for the past 15 years or so. Half of it has been demolished and the rest are flats, coffee shops, etc with very little by the way of shops. The civic area off waterdale is worth a visit for the Library/cafe/museum along with Cast, the Savoy cinema and local restaurants.
