Finding a cinema that balances modern luxury with affordability can be a challenge, but my recent visit to the Savoy proved that you don't have to sacrifice your wallet for a premium experience. Unbeatable Comfort The standout feature of the visit was, without a doubt, the seating. They’ve moved toward a layout that prioritizes personal space, and the reclining chairs are absolutely the way to go. There is something about being able to fully kick back that makes a two-hour movie feel like a luxury getaway. The seats were incredibly plush and stayed comfortable throughout the entire screening—no "fidgeting" required. Perfect Viewing Angles Beyond the seats themselves, the theater layout is expertly designed. I noticed immediately that the screen was perfectly in view from our position. There’s nothing worse than a "neck-strain" seat or a distorted angle, but the Savoy seems to have mastered the sightlines. Whether you’re centered or slightly to the side, the immersion is total. Premium Experience at a Great Price What really ties the whole experience together is the value. Despite the high-end feel of the recliners and the quality of the projection, the tickets were a great price. It’s refreshing to visit a cinema that feels like a "VIP" experience without the inflated "VIP" price tag found at some of the larger national chains. The Verdict The Savoy has officially ruined standard cinema seating for me. Between the reclining comfort, the clear sightlines, and the fair pricing, it’s easily my new go-to for film night.

Excellent cinema! Very reasonable prices for food/drink, helpful staff and comfortable seating. This place deserves more customers and it's sad that it always seems excessively quiet. Hope it manages to stay open, because I prefer this to Vue now. Highly recommended

On arrival, lots of staff stood about chatting and laughing. Ordered some drinks and the server never even spoke to us, just pushed the drinks across the counter. She was too busy chatting with other staff. Auditorium not ready so had to wait for it to be cleaned. We were not early either. Very cold and audio so loud it hurt your ears. Went to tell the staff but no action taken. Toilets dirty, door not locking, toilet inoperative. Emailed them on their contact form and didn't even reply. Better going to the Vue at Lakeside.

Overall I really enjoyed my visit to this cinema, the seats were very nice and the food and drinks are not horrendously priced for a change. We got a large combo (large popcorn and a large pepsi) for £8 which is decent. Only issue we had were the toilets, they massively need an update. They feel very old and several of the doors weren't working. Then some of the ones with working doors were blocked or full of water. I'd suggest maybe revamping them to match how nice everything else is
