Lovely at the strawberry island weekend great music and food great day
A privately run boat club for members only. This is an absolute gem hidden away in an industrial setting. Once your through the security gates you enter into a tranquil setting which couldn't be further away from its surroundings. The club offers members mooring, lift out services, dry dock repairs and more. The community feel is great. Everyone is so accommodating, enthusiastic and passionate. There is on site a club house, wc facilities and a central/island allotment area.
Just had the pleasure of a 2 night stay at Strawberry Island. The facilities are excellent and the club members are very welcoming and friendly thank-you to Sarah and Ian the club steward's hope to visit again ..The Scottish Geordies lol.. Vessel..The Jan Ray.
Unfriendly neighbours. Restricted the access by vehicles of the 100 year old allotment site plot holders. Many are elderly and now have to park on the road outside the gates and carry all their equipment etc. Top boat club!!!!
5 star treatment and welcome last weekend from everyone I met at SIBC ... after struggling to switch off engine on the cut! Great atmosphere in the club house Fri eve Impressive set up you've got there Thank you all so much Hope to visit again before long ... but under different circumstances next time!
