Perfect day for a family day out all weathers. Free admission, informative museum, interesting displays. Good for children to learn about lifestyles /living conditions from the past. There’s a cafe and a pub there as well. Good size park with a little lake to observe the ducks and swans. Parking for 2 hours just under £2. Card payment only.
Very nice museum and free Entry is a bonus really nice set out and 3 floors of memorabilia to look at would definitely go back
We visited on our way home after a visit to York! It broke our journey up and to stretch our legs. We walked around the grounds and visited the museum. The grounds are lovely. Our boys who are 10 and 8 enjoyed a play in the park. Before we left we enjoyed hot drinks and cakes in Butler’s cafe which was lovely. Highly recommend a visit!
It's always a pleasure to find a lovely park for a stroll. I love to take in the sights and sounds of nature when I can. There is something so calming about being surrounded by trees and greenery. Taking a walk is a great way to clear your head and boost your mood. I highly recommend finding a nice park to visit!
It's a beautiful house and gardens. The lake area is beautiful and well kept, there's ducks and geese too. The gardens are well maintained and there's plenty of seats and trestle tables dotted around. It's a great place to chill out on a sunny day. There's a great cafe with seating inside and outside, it has a large menu which includes vegan and gluten free dishes and has a large selection of hot & cold drinks. The gardens are fairly small but there are plenty of public rights of way and the countryside is beautiful. It's around 1 mile walk from Sprotbrough and only 2.5 mile walk from Doncaster.
