The two bowls were probably once great. Cracks in the concrete make it a little difficult for regular wheels. If a little time and money was spent this could be a great spot. It seems like it's a popular spot for kids to hang on a night and then leave all of their rubbish inside the bowl. Another review said there was a sweeping brush stashed away by the trees but I was unable to find one (it's probably been taken now). I'll know to bring one with me if I go again.
The spine is very nice and the small bowl is good to learn tricks
Its a BMX track for kids i only go near it because i sometimes go into hexthorpe park as part of my work
This is a hidden gem, that needs a bloody good polish; mud, rubbish, and pebbles aplenty. It obviously has been, and could again, be awesome. Edit: I've popped along early doors to skate before work a few times, and swept and scraped until it's as clean as necessary. The big bowl is very cracked, so softer bigger wheels useful. Small bowl is great, so harder smaller wheels still ok. The mornings are getting too dark to skate now, so after winter I'll expect it to fill up with mud, broken bottles, burger packaging and condoms again. If someone more local could skate in and keep it swept and ready, that'd be lovely. Edit: someone moved in - which scuppered my morning session, hopefully they'll keep it swept though.
Great little place out of the way no-one even knows your there. Took a sweeping brush n swept little bowl out alot of glass n sticks but worth cleaning it up. Stashed brush in tree next to end of the big bowl 😆👍 it's a shame you might have to clean before you ride but it's worth it great practice spot
