The Bolton Arms at Downholme

The Bolton Arms is located in the small village of Downholme, approximately 4 miles west of the market town of Richmond in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Within easy reach of Catterick Garrison, Leyburn and Reeth, and just off the coast-to-coast walk at Marske. This is an excellent walking area offering stunning scenery.

Enjoy a seat in our comfortable lounge, with fully stocked bar offering a good selection of real ales, lagers, spirits, and fine wines, as well as a tempting range of bar snacks.

Our beer garden is a highlight – sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the magnificent views of Swaledale.

The restaurant serves an excellent menu of home-cooked food, whilst our B&B accommodation is tastefully decorated and full of home comforts.


EATING

While the lunchtime menu offers a few favourites from the evening menu including Cypriot Lamb, Steak Pie and Haddock, you can also choose from a selection of freshly made baguettes, omelettes, scampi & chips and much more...

On Sundays, there is a separate lunch menu with Beef and Lamb or Pork (with Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables).

Although, you can usually get a table to eat, it is always advisable to book before hand, especially at weekends and public holidays.


ACCOMODATION

There are two rooms available, the double room has a four poster bed and the family has a king size and single bed, both with wash-hand basin. There is a separate bathroom and wc. Both rooms have colour TV and coffee making facilities.
