The Barclays Bank hubs in Driffield AND Beverley are not at all easy to find There was no Barclays banner at the hub in Driffield and it in a small arcade which is Ray to walk past without noticing The Beverley Hub is said to be in Toll Gavel at the Methodist Church Walk to the Methodist church via Toll Gavel and you will not find it An A4 sheet with small print advises people to use the back entrance to the chapel in WALKERGATE There was a Barclays banner at this entrance but it was obscured by a brick pillar so most passers by would not see it Neither site had screening to allow private conversations to take place and the Beverley hub in particular was ver dimly lit It is so obvious that Barclay do not want these hubs to be used so that they can be closed down The Barclays website is also misleading Because it states that they are run by the “Post Office” and certain services are available when they are not Handling cash is one example The comments. I have made are to the best of my knowledge truthful and I’m sure shared by many If you agree with my comments please advise Barclays accordingly
Dear Barclays / Jake, Your reply to John Christie is unclear, and as a fellow Barclays customer wanting to navigate in person Barclays facilities, I am even more confused! Is there a Barclays hub in Driffield and / or Beverley or not? If not, is there one in Hornsea? Your message asks to be corrected…. are you really unaware of exactly which facilities are where? How can this be acceptable when you are the company representative responding publicly? Finally, can you demonstrate Barclays Bank is truly inclusive? If so, can you outline how it is tackling digital exclusion? Over half of your message is trying to signpost the customer to X… this is unhelpful to anyone who doesn’t use social media, and doesn’t wish to. By definition your message to refer the customer to X is demonstrating your discrimination against those who don’t use social media. I look forward to hearing how your organisation will adapt to include all customers, to treat people equitably. Sincerely, Barclays customer of 25 years.
