Nice lunchtime meal at this busy pub. Fast service and the meals were excellent. Well worth a visit
Came here for a friend's birthday for the first time and the service was fantastic. The pub was nice and busy, our food came out quickly and exactly as we had asked which was great considering how many of us there were and we had pre ordered. The food tasted great, particularly the boneless chicken wings. We stayed for the quiz afterwards which was a great laugh.
So we went in for dinner this eve, the food was brought out really fast which is always a red flag to me, it was your typical frozen to fryer fair and when you tasted the food without the smothered on sauces it was really bland and tasteless. I expected more at the prices we paid at around £15 each for the meals we had. I do have to commend them on the drinks offers as they were good value it was just a shame that out of the 9 or so buy one get one free cocktails they only had the ingredients make three of them ! Would we go back for food ? It's a no but for sitting in the pub garden and having a few nice drinks we will definitely be back.
New Menu drew us back and we were not disappointed. Booking is advisable , due to being very busy ( especially round tea time 1700hrs onwards ). The welcome was warm , and friendly . attentive staff who took the order in good time. Lots on the new menu to choose from along with some eating challenges . Food was bought out piping hot , and presented very well for pub food. Thanks to Ben and Laura who made our visit and meal enjoyable.
The manager, Bar and serving Staff were all extremely friendly and so accomodating, they couldn't do enough for us. Food was excellent value for the price and delicious!! The atmosphere was homely and comfortable, throughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again soon! 😀
