Greens Removals & Storage

Used Greens for a recent house move and they were fantastic, the communication was spot on despite changes having to be made on our side and they accommodated us without complaint. We also had to use their short term storage due to an issue with completion timings. Very affordable and very pleasant and professional staff and they took good care of our belongings.

Terrible. Quoted us over the phone but didn't say anything about the extra £10 an hour to get the 'proper' insurance. Turned up at 20 past 9 in the morning and emptied our one bed flat and garage by dinner - so not bad. Then waited around for over an hour for a replacement to one of the men who had to go to his kids school - then charged us for the time waiting! Sent a boy to do a mans job who spent more time smoking and on his mobile, making the older guy do most of the work which meant the job took far longer than was necessary - for which we charged the full £55 per hour. When it came time to pay were told we would be charged an extra £235 for 'overtime'. We challenged this so they sent a letter from a collections agency threatening court action. Why don't they just tell customers all the costs up front? They say its all in the terms and conditions but they don't give you them until you are in the middle of moving and totally committed to it. Would never use them again.

They were late to pick up my piano, possibly the only family heirloom that I value. They proceeded to try and 'muscle' it down the stairs (unfortunately I wasn't present). They dropped it and took a huge chunk out of it. Then refused to admit liability until the owner was contacted. Final nail in the coffin is the bill for storage waiting for someone else who is actually able to move valuables pick it up. Rude, unprofessional, and don't have a clue how to move valuables. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT USE! Took 2 men 9 hours to do a job that should have only taken 4. Broke my glass table top and only gave me £40 in compensation as the limited liability insurance (£55 per hour instead of standard £65 per hour) only covers this. They make you sign insurance paperwork when they show up giving you no time to read it as you are already on the clock. I asked the staff what the difference was between the two covers and was told that the standard cover is only if you have high value items such as bone china or antiques. I replied that we didn’t then was told that we would be fine on limited liability for basic items. Turns out I was missold as the terms and conditions states otherwise. AWFUL SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH!

Excellent guy's but I wouldn't use them again they never tell you about the vat on top of the £60 per hour which was another 156 pounds money I didn't budget for
