Runaround Play Centre

We took our 18-month-old to Runaround and were really disappointed. The 0–3 years area was full of much older children running, jumping around and even kicking balls. I ended up having to tell them myself that this area is meant for babies and toddlers. There was no active monitoring of the area to keep the little ones safe. I did mention it to the girl on reception, who said it “happens all the time”, which was frustrating to hear. I understand parents are responsible for their own children, but many were just walking in and sitting down without watching them. I think clearer action is needed much bigger, clearer signs, and perhaps staff explaining at sign-in that the 0–3 area is for babies only and older children should not enter. Unfortunately it didn’t feel safe for younger children and we won’t be returning.

We had a lovely visiting Runaround. My daughter really enjoyed herself. They have a little baby toddler area and a big area for the big kids! There was a big ball pit in both toddlers and a big kids area, whichever my daughter enjoyed, and she really loved the blue spaced themed slide! The food was lovely, which we enjoyed. We had chips, baguettes with salad and coleslaw. The staff were so friendly and welcoming!

Brilliant had a party here today for my son’s 3 birthday! Chloe looked after everything for me was great with the kids and very friendly! All staff were friendly and happy to help! 100% recommend good value for money all! kids enjoyed it! Very clean play area and food was bang on!

We've had a few parties at Runaround now and on the whole have had a great experience. Attentive staff and very helpful with everything during the party. Jugs of juice provided during the playing time and a great selection of food for their tea. No allergies this time, but have had a child with allergies and they catered for them with no trouble. We have been looked after by Taylor and Keira who were training in leading parties, (Taylors first party!) and they did a cracking job! I'm sure your confidence will grow as you do more, carry on doing what you're doing and you'll be great! The only advice I give party organisers is to keep tabs on your birthday decorations, etc. Unfortunately we have had cake decorations we were going to save, left on the side and taken by the other party that was in at the same time (hiwnthwy didn't notice they had a 6 candle and not a 3, I don't know), and have had a tub and shopping bag (with sentimental value) thrown in the bin whilst we were still at the party, without our knowledge or staff realising it was ours (despite handing it to them) before taking it out. Thankfully they retrieved the bag but we don't know where the tub went. Not the end of the world, but hassle you could do without when dealing with a party. Staff were lovely and really apologetic. Maybe a system could be put in place where you have a plastic box for each party you have at the time in, where you can label it with the name and put anything related in it, so you can collate it at the end to ensure any belongings are handed back safely? 😃

Been here twice now and the kids love it. The play area is nice and big, clean and well looked after. Otherwise much the same as other soft plays but still good.
