Embsay with Eastby Village Institute

We hired the hall for our wedding reception - what a great space. The hall itself had everything we needed. The team are really friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Nice hall but the caretaker is one of the worst people I have ever met. She has barged in on two of my meditation sessions during my bookings. Shouted at me and pointed her finger in my face. Absolutely unacceptable way to run a business or treat people hiring the hall. She has now ruined two of my sessions and really upset both my clients and I. I would not ever recommend hiring unless you want somebody rude barging in midway through your hire resulting in people feeling scared & anxious and dangerously waking them up from a deep meditation with shouting & banging. There was even a dog crying outside the door. She then sat drumming her fingers constantly on the table whilst clients were leaving making them feel really uneasy. Really unprofessional. Would not recommend. My hire had not even finished and she was setting up play equipment around my equipment.

Come yesterday to the village hall for our godsons birthday the staff were very welcoming and the hall was so clean thankyou we had a blast 😀

Lovely clean facilities, and well organised set-up.
