Repton is a beautiful apartment in a unique building. The Engine Shed has been thoughtfully restored to a high standard, and we felt privileged to stay in a part of our history. The Repton apartment was thoughtfully equipped, squeaky clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a bonus to be so close to Network Rail and the North Yorkshire Moors Heritage Railway lines. The secure underground parking garage is a brilliant touch. The high standard of renovation gifted us a wonderful holiday, and we are so grateful to the owners of The Engine Shed and to Ash for looking after us. My husband's delight as the first steam train arrived is a heart memory that will last. Whitby and the moors are great to explore. Thank you, we will not hesitate to return and highly recommend The Engine Shed. ❤️
We have just returned from a week long stay at the Engine Shed in the Sir Nigel Gresley apartment and it is one of the nicest holiday apartments we have ever stayed in. The apartment has been done out to a very high standard, was equipped with everything we needed for the week, and was spotless when we arrived - the housekeeping team are excellent and were very friendly. The secure garage was a bonus. We chose the Engine Shed as my little boy loves trains and it was fun to watch them from our windows, but you don't have to be interested in trains to enjoy a stay at the Engine Shed - a lovely apartment in a great location in Whitby.
An absolutely fantastic location to stay at, a central location to explore Whitby and surrounding areas. Great to see the NYMR right outside the window, and great views of the church and the Abbey. Heading back to stay again this year, me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
Beautiful apartment. Right on the railway line. 4 trains per day. Well maintained and kept immaculately clean by the wonderful housekeeping team. Had a fantastic stay here and have booked again for next year. Car parking an added bonus.
