bp pulse Charging Station

A good 50kW charger located in one of our favourite Yorkshire towns. The car park charges a day rate but at time of writing this was 2.80 so fine if you're going into town for some shopping a coffee or a pint. The charger parking slots are on your right as you arrive in the car park. They are a little awkward to back into as you have to back across the main entrance to the car park but once in the charging is easy. One CCS and one old school ChaDeMo port on the charger. Worked well with my BP Pulse app on iPhone and started charging smoothly first time. For 5* rating I'd want the spaces relocated to an easier spot but otherwise excellent.

This charger was excellent and was exactly where the app said. That unfortunately is not the case on other locations

This is a fast unit, and although there are two parking spaces, you can only use 1 plug of the 3 on offer at a time. Out of 4 attempts, 2 failed. Today I waited for the other car to finish (hers initially failed - she came back after 15m to check. Worked after a restart.) When I plugged in, charger 'failed to recognise the socket', went into a loop. No back button to restart the unit. Average time to get through on phone = 8 m. No way to just report the fault online. While waiting on the phone another car drew up to charge and had to leave. The network generally is not fit for purpose.

Charge station did not work, I called t BP helpline who appeared clueless as to t location of t device despite quoting t charger serial no. after 3 reboots t advisor agent said it 'doesn't work'. Something which I thought was t purpose of my call! Unhelpful & incompetent.

Four attempts to charge my vehicle today at Jet beacon garage,Catterick still no charge, But each time it pre authorised my account £35. So £140 short and move on to the next charger...
