Live very close by and since the change of ownership a couple of years ago it’s been run into the ground. Apparently you can now vape inside pubs… toilets filthy and smell of urine. What a shame - completely ruined. The woman who runs it stands at the end of the bar vaping with two younger people. Won’t ever go back.

Lovely pub in a lovely area. Ratings would have been higher but the person who often opens up is incredibly rude if you’re not a regular. Been in a couple of times over the year and always made to feel like an inconvenience rather than receiving a warm welcome- apart from that the pub itself is lovely.

The one staff member was uncommunicative to a degree which displayed her complete lack of interest in providing any service other than what was in my glass. Not a publican. During my visit to this pub which was empty of customers when I arrived and remained so when I left she was either on her phone or playing some kind of game. There should have been...."Hello how are you"....."Can I get you anything else"....."How was your day".....This could be a much longer list. I have been going to this pub for four years or more and have witnessed the decline. This individual was the final nail in the terminal decline.

Brilliant pub now it has been taken over by the owner of the Murgatroyd Arms just round the corner. Inside is very similar as before but the outdoor seating and shelter is a lot better now to sit out and have a drink.
