There are two car parks here. On one side, the council run one, which I'd give 5 stars. Next to the cenotaph and Minster. Can get full. On the other side of the road is the private one which has all the bad reviews. There is a large council run carpark around the corner which I'd recommend when busy.

DO NOT PARK HERE, IT’S A SCAM!! Received a £100 fine even though I paid for parking using their app. Appealed the fine and they rejected it stating that I hadn’t paid enough for my parking, even though their app recognises your registration from the ANPR cameras and selects the correct amount to pay. Seriously DO NOT PARK HERE. It may be cheap but now you know why, because IT’S A SCAM!!

I paid the £3 as advertised for my less than 6 hour stay. I’ve just received a £100 fine for not paying!! I’ve appealed it as I have the proof on my bank statement so I’m now waiting for their response. I’d read the reviews prior to parking here which also mentioned people experiencing similar. I wish I’d parked elsewhere!

Privately owned car park only to scam people by giving out wrong fines. It’s a money making scheme. I was wrongly fined, appealed and given evidence. Paid using APOCA APP. They did not accept my reciept of payment as evidence! Will be re-appealing to independent appeals service DO NOT PARK HERE !
