Spire Elland Hospital

Incredibly lucky this hospital is 5 minutes away, the service is nothing less than perfect. My mum was under their care 11 mths ago for a hip op & all appts I took her to were on time, professionally carried out but with kindness & care too. This week I got to experience the care first hand and was in overnight for a cholecystectomy. Mr Fawole is charming, reassuring & incredibly experienced; felt in safe hands for sure. The team around him are what makes a hospital stay a pleasant experience - aneathetists, recovery team, catering staff & nurses are just so lovely & make you feel like their only patient. Can't thank my nurses Sindy & Michelle enough - so caring, down to earth, thorough & patient. Top notch x

Caring approachable staff. Was nervous pre op was very kind and reassuring. Was unable to sleep post op my nurse staff was patience and did nit make me feel I was troubling her. There was no waiting for pain relieve. Ms naseem surgeon came to see me post op before going home and before discharged. Was able to be discharged 1st day post op but they rang me 3 days to check on me. I also had a problem with analgesics side effects was able to ring straight to ward recieved doctors rs advise then recieved a further nurse call to check how I was getting on. Felt really cared for which promoted my confidence post op after a big one. And feel helped with my rehabilitation Thank you to all staff

After having ongoing issues with my shoulder, I attended today for a shoulder hydroinfusion and cortisone injection. Dr Bhusilute, Melissa and Rebecca were brilliant from the start. They made me feel comfortable, calm and reassured. We had good conversations throughout the entire process and some good banter. This team are an asset to the hospital and please pass on my thanks to them.

Dr Tachibana and her assistant Melissa were really reassuring during the treatment. I had an injection in my hand for ‘trigger finger’ . They explained everything clearly, I felt a slight scratch when the doctor put some local pain relief in my hand and then the injection was painless. Really caring and friendly Dr and assistant.

I attended Spire Elland for a total right knee replacement and was totally overwhelmed by the kindness, patience and professionalism from all hospital staff. Everyone who I came into contact with really took time to make sure that I felt safe, well informed and looked after. Any questions or concerns that I had were answered with patience and kindness. Rooms were spacious with high levels of sanitation adhered to at all times. Menu choice was varied, delicious and delivered with a smile. Bathroom better and more functional than my own at home. Physios and medical team were amazing and enabled me to regain my independence as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend Spire hospital Elland and am so grateful to everyone for their kindness and care.
