We love going here! Richard is lovely and helpful! We often go for a glass of wine and some cheese. The cheese is very well priced as you get a generous amount! The wines by the glass often change which makes going back a must. Additionally they run wine tasting events. We have attended one and loved it! Highly recommended visiting!
Attended on an early Saturday evening. Managed to get a table and staff were very friendly, though it felt they were a little impatient with us choosing what to order. Beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere. Sadly, no baby changing available, which is the main reason for four stars - though I understand this may not be a priority for a wine bar.
Over the top and one of the most expensive places I've been. Called in after a day at the Xmas markets, they didn't have a chardonnay on the drinks menu for my partner, but I could buy a bottle from the shelves, (£60) but not forgetting an £8 fee for them to remove a Cork.... on top of the servers checking if you needed another drink every 2 minutes, we deffo won't be back. There are loads of better places to have a drink in the area.
Really disappointing experience. Owner Richard made us feel uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. He was rude, pretentious and unwelcoming, and then presented us with a bill that charged us ‘corkage’ which was for the wine glasses used and opening the bottle we ordered.
We visited Cargo on a hot, busy Saturday evening and had the most fantastic experience! The service was outstanding—special thanks to Richard, who was not only friendly but also gave us brilliant advice on the wine selection. His knowledge and passion really made our visit extra special. The bar itself is set in a lovely area, with a great atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. We’ll definitely be back soon—Cargo is an absolute gem in Farsley! Highly recommend a visit!🍷✨
