Absolutely disgusting, never seen food so bad. I could not cut through the sausage with a steak knife, it was brittle, dry and hard as rock, even my dog wouldn't eat it. Called up to tell them, got put on hold then hung up. Stay well clear
popped in for a bacon & fried egg sarnie. absolutely delicious! plenty of bacon in there and the egg was done to perfection, too. also got one of their fresh bean Americanos which was really nice. always busy in there which says it all...well worth popping in if you're in need of some grub!
The pork pies have become nasty. I'm sure they're being bulked up with breadcrumbs. I've never known a pork pie filling like it, not meaty at all. We bought some yesterday, the pastry fell apart all over, the meat was awful and we both ended up (not going into detail) unwell. And having only both had toast, we know it wasn't that that caused it! It's a shame, they used to be lovely, like proper butchers pork pies. We've always loved Growlers, but after this episode, never again I'm afraid.
First time bought from you and yes I would highly recommend you very tasty will let my son know he likes a pork pie 🥧
A wee note to say a huge thanks for my wonderful breakast last week it was delicious. I would also like to say that the pies I bought were simply 'spectacular'. I have never eaten such well cooked and tasty pies! Thank you!
