At Glenlea Surgery, only one receptionist (Miela) truly seems to care to give a good service, the rest are incredibly rude and couldn’t care less about anyone. When you manage to see a GP, most of them are actually really good and helpful, but it is nearly impossible to book an appointment at this practice. They always say you have to ring at 8am in the morning; when I call at 8:00 am sharp, I can be hours (literally) waiting in the queue just to get a “we don’t have appointments available, you have to ring again tomorrow at 8am” once someone finally answers your call if you manage to get through or join any queue at all). Or just an automated message saying: “the system is unable to make appointments at this time. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we encountered an issue, please contact the surgery during normal opening hours, sorry for the inconvenience” and the call cuts off without even having the option to join a queue. The customer service is one of the worst I’ve experienced ever.On top of that, they always mess up my prescriptions and more often than not they don’t send them correctly to the pharmacy, and I run out of my meds because they are not complete. Staff should be trained, health care should be reassuring, not dismissive and shaming. This surgery is terrible, hope we can change to a different one where they actually care about patients and treat them with dignity and support.

Glenlea has become something of a lottery recently. Sometimes you get a warm welcome, and other times, it has a frosty cold atmosphere. I understand that working in the NHS is challenging, and I have worked in palliative care. It is prudent to remember that systemic failings are not patients' faults. Care should always be commissioned compassionately, no matter if you are a doctor, a nurse, or a receptionist.

Shocking. Not able to make an appointment in the morning tell you to ring at 12. You ring back at 12 have to wait in a long queue but sometimes don't. But either way you don't get an appointment. Either appointments have all gone by the time the queue gets to you or they obviously lie about afternoon appointments coming out at 12 as I have in the past gotten an appointment in the morning for afternoon. They obviously don't care about patients at all

Medical staff great its just a drama to see them. Both myself and the doctor asked for a double appointment. Front desk gave a single. Had to finish the appointment over the phone with rhe doctor in our free time. Horrendous service. Change times on you at a drop of a hat.

Never do the prescriptions when you need them, don't notify you if you need to see the doctor to get your prescription. I'm disabled and been left several times in pain and agony refusing to do pain medication until I've been seen by a doctor and have to wait until next day to be seen. I've had to have 111 phone doctors several times to get them to do my prescription its very unprofessional and I'm changing surgery as soon as possible
