It makes such a difference when you know you are in safe hands. Kelly, the practice nurse at West Lodge made me feel exactly like that this morning. I was feeling upset and anxious because I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes. Straightaway Kelly reassured me and made me feel comfortable. In a clear, concise manner she provided me with lots of important information and guidance, She listened to me, and answered my questions. Additionally, she explained the next steps, as well as signposting me in the direction of relevant support. Before my consultation, I was harshly judging myself, but Kelly’s compassionate professionalism helped me to see things clearer and feel more confident about tackling things.

I only recently joined West Leeds Family Practice but everyone has been really kind and helpful so far. Miella on reception helped me when in the surgery, and was patient and warm. Dr Chakrabarti rang me for a consultation and also gave me plenty of time, listened and advised based on what I had said. I didn't feel rushed and she was really understanding. Subsequently I had an appointment with Lisa the nurse, who was also really warm and patient, and made me feel relaxed. So far I've felt like everyone has had my interests at heart and wanted to help me.

I had a nurse appointment this morning with Kelly for a routine smear. Kelly was so lovely and welcoming, helping me with my pram and made me feel relaxed, even though I had my son with me. She allowed me to have him in his pram at my head level, so I could hold his hand during my test, as he was getting a bit upset. Kelly did the procedure so quickly and professionally, I didn’t even realise she’d done it. Kelly explained everything really well and she was just fab and a real asset to the West Lodge nursing team. Thanks so much.

Lisa was the perfect nurse. She persevered with patience and this offered a comfortable experience. Lisa talked me through my appointment and checked in with me throughout the stages. Warm personality, caring, friendly, cheerful and patient. Would definitely book in with Lisa again! Thank you x
