Excellent patisserie and friendly service. We had Burnt Basque Cheesecake and Lemon Meringue pie with coffees in the shop and took some other cakes home for the kids. Cakes are incredibly tasty. The Lemon meringue pie was zesty with soft meringue and one of the best desserts we've ever tasted. The Burnt Basque Cheesecake was different to any I've had previously (including La Viña in San Sebastian, where it originated). It was closer to a New York-style baked cheesecake, with a thin crust base (which it isn't supposed to have) and was quite firm, when the middle is supposed to be wobbly with more of a mousse texture. Nevertheless, it was an interesting take on the original and delicious. Will definitely come again. Worth noting that Google maps steered us slightly wrong. Access is from Stanningley Road into Swinnow Grange Mills, rather than from Swinnow Lane.
Beautiful patisserie, been twice now and the baked goods are spectacular 👌🏽! The male who served me both times is very friendly, welcoming and knows everything about the cakes! The shop is clean and tidy, wish it was opened more often as its so yummy. definitely recommending to everyone I know. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just really excellent cakes. We wandered over on a Saturday to pick up a weekend treat or two. We had an opera which was like a European style layer cake and an almond and blackberry cake. There was also an almond croissant in the box which didn't even make it home. The croissant was the best I've had in the UK. So fresh and the almond paste had a fresh zing to it which was exceptional. The cakes were delicious and very well made. We came across L'éclair Pâtisserie by chance on Google Maps and feel very happy to have discovered this little gem of a place hidden away. You would really never know it's there if you just went past the mill and didn't look inside. Highly recommended. We'll be back.
We came here early over Easter after having their amazing patisserie in places like Crimple and Bramhope Deli. We enjoyed a lovely takeaway coffee and took home a mega chocolate eclair which was just outstanding, their lemon meringue eclair is also a favourite of mine. We also took a chocolate and cherry tart and a passionfruit white chocolate tart, just delicious, beautifully made. Such a welcome addition to the Leeds area.
L'eclair Patisserie has become my favourite destination for a Saturday treat. It's only open four hours a week so you need to plan ahead to catch them open! Every week they have a different selection of exquisite creations, so you never know what you're going to get. This week I got a coffee choux bun and a chocolatey passion fruity raspberryish tart. Last week it was a chocolately mousse-filled heart shaped guy, and the time before that it was an orange chocolate mini cheesecake type thing. These guys clearly take SO MUCH pride in their work and when you taste their creations it really shows. Stick a reminder in your calendar for next Saturday morning to go check them out. They serve the food in little card boxes. I recommend taking your own little tupperwares and doing your little bit for the environment.
