I really enjoy for my children coming to Gym Magic Studio! The owner is very nice and kind, and the teachers are all lovely and supportive. The studio is well equipped and has everything you need for a great workout. The toilets are clean and there’s also a changing room which is super convenient. There was a slight carpet smell, but it didn’t affect my experience. Still definitely a 5-star place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Photography is not allowed so this photo is taken from their website.

Moved here from another gymnastics club, looking to try expand skillset to 4 apparatus from display and tumble gymnastics. There are not many local gymnastics clubs without a poor reputation so you have to take a punt and try somewhere. This place sounded great - development squad was about 9 hours a week for a very reasonable price, but it's not worth any money at all if your child is left to teach themselves. Lasted about 4 weeks before I realised it was a waste of time and my child would never progress. She came out lesson after lesson saying she didnt know what to do, nobody showing her. I watched from the 'not allowed to watch viewing window' to see what she was doing and she was literally sat swinging her legs on a beam for 15 mins. And the rest of the girls not doing much either. This reflected what my daugter had told me. So I kindly asked the owner (presuming she would care and listen and it was an accident that she had not been shown) if someone could show her what to do on the beam as she literally hasn't been shown the routine or where to start (she'd not done that apparatus before). The owner was cold and rude, her answer (amoung other, rude, dismissive comments) , ' I havent got time to be showing her, I have the Yorkshires to sort out', which shocked me! I wasn't asking for much, just for her to be shown SOMETHING, ANYTHING, so she could get on with learning even on her own if need be! I mean I was paying for her to be instructed! I said very little back, not worth an argument, just explained the request again and hoped she would be shown what to do. But at that point I had made my mind up already. It's a rip off. She didn't stand a chance of any progression. The reply to my cancellation email was as expected, rude and accusatory of 'wasting her time'. I actually paid the cancellation fee even though I could have walked away and not done, not sure why I did, but I'm someone who sticks to my end of an agreement, shame the club didnt offer the service and training they agreed to too. I echo what others say, Sharon seems to have about 4 gymnasts who she progresses and the rest of the parents pay to develop them. And yes, it smelt of dogs, damp and sweaty feet, but then all gymnastics places smell to be honest, I could have coped with that if the owner wasn't so RUDE and my child ever learnt anything. Personally I think it's another rip of club, kids hearded in like cattle, money taken, little progress. They'd do right to remember who pays their bills and offer a little better customer service for a start. We tried Nile Wilson gymnastics after, which is much more expensive but at least they have good customer service and nice coaches, and you can watch. Probably good for little gymnasts, but not sure how effective for progression. We found more suitable options not long after. It took a bit more research but eventually found a couple of other places to progress tumble skills where she is making good progress, and she is now in a slightly different sport too and enjoying both. Gymnastics has a poor reputation and rightly so, many clubs literally dont care about all but a handful of kids, and the rest pay the bills, but of all the places we tried over the years this place has got to be the worst we experienced. British Gymnastics policy is that parents should be allowed to watch due to this bad reputation, but this club (and many others) seem to try prevent it, and I'm confused how they are allowed to get away with it. If you try it, keep your eye on progression and expect to be spoken to poorly as it seems standard for this place.

My daughter has been attending Gym Magic for 3 years and she absolutely loves it. She works hard and her progress is lovely to see. I find it to be very fairly priced and there is a real team spirit within her squad and the wider club.

My daughter went here for nearly 2 years and in that 2 years the first year she progressed really well and after that she didn’t progress much and want doing skill to her ability so we decided to move to a different gym so went to speak to the owner about my daughter leaving the firsts that I got greeted with was you could of rung me when I wasn’t coaching I offered to wait and got a rude response so as I was explaining of why she wanted to leave 1.little to no progress and 2. A coach bullying my daughter by being nasty! She turned around and told me my daughter was lying and that my information is wrong so after trying to have a conversation I got up to walk away and on my way out the owner was saying stuff behind my back so I said enjoy your club as everyone is going to leave if you speak to parents like that then the owner screamed at me saying get out of my club in front of 3 of her gymnast and made them cry! Not very professional of her l, then she went and got my daughter out of the car and sat her on a chair between her and the coach that bullied her and she was crying her eyes out and she was questioning her and intimidating her she’s 11! So I got my daughter and walked out! It is disgusting how she speaks to her gymnast and the parents! She very unprofessional and rude! Also talks about parents behind their backs to the gymnasts ! Only good thing to come out of the gymnasts club is a coach called Meg she’s the only decent one ! I wouldn’t bother wasting your money on a place like this as it’s cold stuff are broken and it smells! So many other good gyms out there and a lot cheaper all about the money to the owner not the gymnasts ! She has and always will have her favourite 7 and the rest get pushed aside!
