Love this park, really clean and tidy. Also has toilets.
Easy 4.5 mile walk around the lake. Good footpaths suitable for push chairs etc , great views of the reservoir , Pune forest and open countryside. Plenty of seats dotted around . Free car parking. Perfect.
Been there to Fewston reservoir circular hike both during summer and winter and the difference you see on both hikes is contrasting and I loved the hike very much. It’s more or less flat with sudden ups and downs here and there. Overall suitable for all ages, my son who is only 4 did the full hike on both occasions.
Easily accessible 2 reservoirs with a flat path around for a gentle easy walk. You can do one (3 miles) or both reservoirs (about 8 mile loop) or if you want to make it a bit harder then go into the hilly surrounding woods. Great for families, couples and those with walking difficulties. You can walk up to the waters edge where the friendly ducks await your scraps! One of the car parks near it has toilets. Plenty of areas to rest or picnic and appreciate the scenery.
Took 90 mins to walk around, decent pace no breaks. Give 2 hours for a more leisurely stroll. Note: if you stay longer than paid for in car park, you can buy additional time on return so long as it equals or is more than how long you parked for. Keep the tickets. Went mid November on a sunny, dry day. Woods were beautiful. Saw a field of massive, noisy geese (Hannah would've hated it).
