The sat nav took me to the wrong place, the postcode HG4 4BQ took me to a farm area. With the farm area on my right, go up to the next cross roads. Turn right. It's down there on the right. Parking is free. There are scattered benches. Be aware that at certain times of the year the edges have livestock, and to walk around you'll have to walk past them. In this case it was sheep. But they generally move out of the way. Bring the right footwear as their toilet remains are everywhere. It's a small reservoir to walk around. Some lovely views to be seen from the little hills that surround it. Dogs are allowed here, but obviously on the lead with livestock present.

My happy place, watched it being built/dug nearly 50 years ago, been walking round it on a regular basis ever since!

Flat walk all the way around the reservoir. Plenty of parking available. The circular walk is about 1.5 miles

Great quiet place. Lots of sheep so dogs must be kept on lead.
